Prayers of the People July 14, 2024
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
The congregational response is “and we thank you.”
Jesus, we believe you are the Messiah, the Son of God, and our Savior. We pray for our friends who don’t know who you really are, just as many people were confused when you were living on earth. May they come to know you personally and trust in you for their salvation.
You are our God, and we thank you.
Our God, we praise you for being the King of Glory, strong and mighty. As King David encouraged us, may we seek your face and grow in godliness.
You are our God, and we thank you.
Lord, we thank you that you know us intimately and your presence is with us continually. As David prayed, we ask you to search our hearts and show us where we need to grow. Guide us on the road to eternal life.
You are our God, and we thank you.
We pray for all who serve in the Church, especially our Rector, Stacy, and our recently ordained ministry intern, Becki. May the Holy Spirit guide them in all their endeavors.
You are our God, and we thank you.
We thank you for those who facilitate our men’s and women’s Bible study groups. May they trust you for wisdom and creativity as they lead.
You are our God, and we thank you.
We give thanks for those who have protected us, who have shielded us from harm or evil, who have enriched our lives by their goodness. We pray for all upon whom our security depends—the police, EMT and the fire service, that you will strengthen and encourage them.
You are our God, and we thank you.
Ruler of the universe, we pray for our earthly rulers, especially Joe our President, Glenn our Governor, as well as our community leaders, that they would lead with justice, mercy and humility.
You are our God, and we thank you.
We thank you for the potential of our Master Plan to be a source of inspiration and refreshment to our church members and our surrounding communities. Guide us in the implementation of this plan and provide the funding for its development.
You are our God, and we thank you.
