Prayers of the People May 14, 2023
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
Please join in the Prayers of the People; the congregational response is “let us pray to the Lord.”
Lord, we thank you for sending your Holy Spirit to abide in us as our Advocate. May your Spirit guide us, strengthen us, and instruct us in the way of righteousness.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
Jesus, may we keep your commandments in our minds, in our hearts, and with our words and actions, as an expression of our love for you.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We pray for all who serve in the Church, especially our Archbishop, Justin, our Presiding Bishop, Michael, our Diocesan Bishop, Mark, our Assisting Bishop, Gayle, our Visiting Bishops, Dabney and Ted, our Rector, Stacy, and our supply priests, Jenks, Amanda, and Kyle, that the Holy Spirit would guide them as they preach, teach and counsel.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, we praise you for your sovereignty over the nations. May the people of every nation who do not know you seek you and find you. We thank you that they are not far from you.

For those in authority, including Joe, our President, and Glenn, our Governor, lead them into the ways of justice, peace and truth.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We pray for the peoples of Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen and Sudan, who are suffering the ravages of war, terrorism, displacement and hunger. We thank you for all who are sacrificing their time and resources to meet their needs. Bring war and terror to an end.
For his will to be done, let us pray to the Lord.
We trust you for protection, healing and comfort for those who are suffering from illness, violence and persecution, especially (read the first names of those on our prayer list).Please add the names of others in need of protection, comfort or healing.
