Prayers of the People September 15, 2024
These are the Prayers of the People that will be used during church this week. We encourage you to use them as part of your personal prayers this week.
The congregational response is, “hear us and help us.”
Lord Jesus, we join with St. Peter in his bold confession that you are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. Give us boldness when asked about the One whom we worship.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
Lord, give us strength to follow you by denying self and taking up our cross daily. Give us your perspective about heavenly values and those of the world.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
We trust you to help Becki Casey as she assumes her new responsibilities at Piedmont and Grace Episcopal Churches. Guide her as she builds relationships, seeks to meet needs, and fulfills her new roles.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
Guide our men’s group, St. Brigid’s Brigade, and our Ladies’ Study Group, as they seek to understand Your Word and apply it to their everyday lives.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
Lord, we trust you for your help and guidance as we prepare for next week’s Little Fork Church Festival. We ask you to bring many friends and neighbors who have never been to our church before. May you be glorified by all that occurs.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
We pray for our President, Joe, and Governor, Glenn, as well as all who govern and hold authority in this and the other nations of the world, that there may be justice and peace on the earth.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
We pray for all who are suffering, in danger, trouble or sickness, as well as those who care for them. We pray for comfort and healing for those named on our prayer list (Read the names of those on the church prayer list). Please share the names of others in need of healing or comfort.
You may add the names of others in need of healing or comfort.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
We give thanks for all who have entered into glory, for all who have triumphed over darkness and evil. We pray for loved ones departed, especially (Read the names of those on our church prayer list).
You may add the names of others who have died.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
At this time, please add your thanksgivings or requests, trusting in God’s promise to pour out his grace and mercy on those who come before his throne of grace.
You may add your thanksgivings or requests.
Lord in heaven, hear us and help us.
